Shout Out From Mocha Club

News flash – MC gave me a quick shout out on their website blog: http://blog.mochaclub.org/articles/2010/08/31/matt-komatsu-runs-for-mocha-club/. Check it out when you get a hot minute…

This is not the Mona Lisa

Somewheres out there in the wurld...

In other news, I’m back from some work stuff that kept me pretty wrapped up after the marathon. Anticipate some new material showing up on RFS (that’s my cool new jingo-istic abbreviation…kinda like EPL…Eat Pray Love 🙂 in the near future. I hope all of you are well; it’s been a little while since I wrote to you all and I’ve missed ya!

Quick Hit: Blog Info

For those seeing these posts on FB, if you want to see the full thing, please visit http://www.runforsomething.wordpress.com. I have a widget set up that pulls an excerpt from the blog and posts it as a status update, which might make it appear as if the 400-odd character update is the extenet of things (not usually the case). Anyway, thanks to Tom, Ed, Jen, Mary, and (Super) Lupe for your views on “aid!” I’m going to be re-posting those comments for my next blog, so I can share my views as well. i also wanted to share some exciting news: as of 3:00 p.m. today, the blog set a PR for most number of hits in a day! 44 and counting (previous record of 32)…which still doesn’t get me up there with Ariana Huffington, but not bad. So, for my friends and fam getting the word out, or that one person who visited the blog like 30 times in a day, KEEP IT UP!

Thinking: “Aid”

Continuing the theme of “aid,” I’d love some inputs from you readers. Here’s your chance…tell me about some neat ideas you’ve either seen or participated in so we can get the word out! There are a lot of perspectives out there and I want to know what your thoughts are. It doesn’t have to be Africa or Afghanistan…it could be something local and relatively simple. I had a great discussion with my buddy Zane a few moths ago. We talked about how you don’t have to go on a big trip or move to another country just to help improve someone’s life. Opportunities to make a difference abound, even in our everyday lives. Or, maybe you think aid is a lot of bunk, that the best way to make a difference is a life well-lived…nothing is out of bounds and I want to know what you think. Take a sec, leave a comment, and let’s talk about it.
